Young thespians wowed the sell-out audience at Pure Rhythm's summer performance on Friday.

The group of 60 children, aged from 7 to 15, performed The Curious Quest of the Sandman's Sand in Saffron Walden County High School's dance studio.

The musical was the third annual summer school show organised the the director of the Pure Rhythm performing arts school, Sue Raven.

Mrs Raven said: "The performance went brilliantly; the parents who came to see it said it was the best one yet.

"The talent in Saffron Walden is phenomenal and the work the children put in was extraordinary."

Rehearsals lasted for four hours each day from Monday to Friday last week, before a dress rehearsal and the performance on Friday.

Sue Raven's popular performing arts school will shortly be moving to an improved facility in the Dame Bradbury School, Saffron Walden.
